Shanks of Diesel Central studs are properly sized to allow for thermal expansion and optimum clamp force without engine component distortion.  Center less ground end-to-end with a maximum run out of .001"

No machine work required to install Diesel Central head studs as they are a direct replacement for the original factory supplied stud or stretch bolt.

Diesel cylinder head stud kits feature 220,000-PSI tensile strength 12 point flanged aircraft style nut with special anti-friction coating.  These provide accurate torque on stud and superior clamp force compared to hex or uncoated nuts.

All Diesel Central fasteners feature a guaranteed minimum tensile strength of 230,000 PSI and military spec rolled fine threads after heat-treat to eliminate head gasket leaks.  "Imitation" studs use coarse threads and low grade steel which results in lower clamp force higher friction and "torque scatter."

Each Diesel Central fastener receives a special Aerospace Spec anti-corrosion coating that is more appropriate for the application.  Some companies do not apply any corrosion protection, which can result in premature fracture.


The block/case end of a Diesel Central stud has extra long Military Spec Rolled Threads to insure maximum holding power in the block or engine case.  Tapered or radius shank thread transition eliminates localized stress concentration typical of low quality studs.

Please note 8 of the studs are custom machines to fit underneath the injectors with no washer.
